Regular Zoo admission prices apply during the day.
The event includes a bilingual Story Time at the Zoo book reading at 10:30 a.m. in the Zoo’s Conservation Station. Story Time at the Zoo will feature the book “’Slowly, Slowly, Slowly,’ said the Sloth,” by Eric Carle, read in both Spanish and English. Children will be brought to the sloth habitat after the book is read.
Fiesta Cultural also includes a Roar & Pour event from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. featuring live Latin and reggae-infused music by Moska Project. The Zoo will have some café tables and chairs in the Fountain area during the event, and guests are invited to bring folding lawn chairs for comfort while listening to bands. “We are proud to honor Hispanic and Latin American heritage and culture with our inaugural Fiesta Cultural,” said Ron Brooks, events manager for the Zoo. “This event will place a special focus on our animals whose species originate from South and Central America. Stop by and visit with them in our Harriet & George D. Cornell Tropics of the Americas section, then enjoy some authentic, flavor-filled dishes to the tunes of live Latin music from multiple bands!”
