In partnership, Center for Child Counseling and Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County are honored to co-host presentations from distinguished mental health professionals focusing on babies, children, and families.
Did you know that trauma can leave a chemical mark on a person’s genes, which can then be passed down to future generations? Have you ever heard of Adverse Babyhood Experiences (ABEs)—which are distinct from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)? Do you wonder how healing, prevention, and building resiliency can mitigate trauma? Then this symposium is for you!
Participants will learn about:
(1) epigenetics and the intergenerational transmission of ACEs,
(2) opportunities to prevent, repair and heal the effects of adversity in early life, and
(3) the impact of Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences (PACEs) on developing brains, resilience, and lifelong health.
