SAT Tutor job description
Local nonprofit seeks SAT Tutor to tutor driven high school students. Our nonprofit’s goal is to help HS students achieve their academic potential regardless of economic disadvantages, by helping them get into better schools with better scholarships. SAT prep is just one piece of the puzzle.
We are looking for an experienced SAT Tutor that would be available to tutor on a fixed schedule for the academic school year of 2020-2021. Requirements of the position include:
Tutor must have their own transportation to reach the classroom
Tutor must be able to meet in person with the students; as well as tutor online.
Must be able to tutor on both the Math and Reading Comprehension portions of the SAT
Must be willing to teach a group of roughly 40 students two to four times a week for 2 hours for the duration of the academic school year, as well as bonus tutoring sessions as scheduled. Sessions are generally held from 4-6pm, or 5-7pm.
Familiarity with Google Meets, Classroom and Kami is a plus.
**Path to College is currently operating remotely so all tutoring sessions will be conducted via Google Meet using Kami to annotate in real time
Compensation: $25 an hour.
Must have either: 3-5 years of SAT tutoring experience and previous classroom teaching experience.
