About Us

Alzheimer’s Community was founded in 1996 for the sole purpose of providing support and help to families living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. The support would be community-based and provided at low or no-cost to families so that their loved ones could live with dignity and safety throughout the disease process. Under the three pillars of Safety and Security, Dignity and Integrity and Wellness and Wellbeing, Alzheimer’s Community Care has seven core services. These services include: Specialized Adult Day Centers, Education for families and professionals, ID Locator Services, Family Nurse Consultants, Case Management, a 24-hour Crisis Line and Advocacy on behalf of all Floridians living with all types of dementia. Alzheimer’s Community Care also has Caregiver Support Groups and services for those living alone with Alzheimer’s disease. As the largest provider of community-based dementia-specific services Alzheimer’s Community Care continues providing help and HOPE to this most vulnerable population.
