About Us

Beginning in May 2013, with the help of an oceanfront resident, Keep PBC Beautiful and the Solid Waste Authority, we adopted the island of Palm Beach's private beach areas in order to remove the incoming marine debris to protect our marine life and paradise. We perform monthly beach cleanups along the island of Palm Beach with the community involved. So far, we have succeeded in removing over 127,220 pounds of trash off these beaches.

This number is only made possible because we also have a year-round, weekday crew. Our crew consists of individuals from The Lord's Place, an organization that has been changing the lives of homeless families and individuals in Palm Beach County for over 30-years and VitaNova an organization that helps young adults transition from foster care to independence by providing a stable, nurturing environment that includes housing, counseling, and education. And now, Goodwill Industries! Through our transitional work program, we offer these individuals a part-time job to help them gain back the independence they seek. To date, we have hired over 40 individuals through our program.

The reality is that our oceans are laden with man-made pollutants, plastics and trash. The Gulfstream is very near here and this current delivers the marine debris, from our mainland and others, right to our shores. This will not end until we get a handle on our daily dumping into our waters so we are here to collect and dispose of it as it happens.

We are protecting the health of our local beaches and marine life while changing lives one bucketful at a time!
