Genny Bernstein Named Co-Chair of FAWL PBC Board Certification Committee

Jones Foster is pleased to announce that Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorney, Genny Bernstein, has been named by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers Palm Beach County chapter (FAWL PBC) as Co-Chair of the Board Certification Committee for the 2020-2021 term.
 
As Co-Chair, Genny’s focus is to create opportunities for FAWL members to learn more about the importance of becoming Board Certified, its value to an attorney’s practice, tips about the application process, and exam requirements. As a Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law, Genny brings professional experience and personal insight to her new role. 
 
FAWL’s mission is to actively promote gender equality and the leadership roles of its members in the legal profession, judiciary, and community at large. FAWL and its local chapters focus upon the professional advancement of women lawyers specifically and the promotion of women’s rights generally. To accomplish these closely related goals, FAWL provides a statewide forum for the exchange of political views, public and private sector employment opportunities, and continuing legal and management education. Jones Foster proudly serves as an annual sponsor of FAWL PBC.

Genny Bernstein is a member of the Firm’s Private Client Services practice group. She focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Guardianships, Special Needs Trusts, Veteran Benefits, and Asset Planning and Protection for Medicaid to assist in obtaining benefits for home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and Florida Courts and is an Accredited Attorney for Claims, Preparation, Presentation and Prosecution with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
 
Genny is a regular speaker on the topics of Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Medicaid and Veterans Benefits at public and private events, workshops, healthcare fairs, and seminars throughout Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties. She is actively involved in a number of industry organizations and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA), The Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar, the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
