West Palm Beach, November 11, 2019 – West Palm Beach-based philanthropist and Arts patron, Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr., will contribute his thoughts on the significance of music and its impact on the community, in an upcoming coffee table book being produced by StarGroup Books, entitled, Music & Memories: Palm Beach County.
Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. is one of the most prominent and notable patrons of the Arts in Palm Beach County. In 1978, he created the Palm Beach County Council of the Arts, a council that continues to focus on the development of local arts. He is the namesake of the Kravis Center’s magnificent Alexander W. Dreyfoos Concert Hall, as well as the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, widely considered one of the county’s most prestigious public schools.
Additional locally-based celebrities, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and performers will offer their personal perspectives, memories, and musings, including, Lois Pope, Dick Robinson, Lawrence A. Moens, and Jill & Rich Switzer, and many more.
Scheduled to be released throughout Palm Beach County in time for distribution at 2020 galas, special events, and business and civic organization meetings, the book follows several other locally-focused StarGroup International book projects, including the well-received and award-winning Palm Beach Centennial book, Faces & Places, which highlighted Palm Beach residents and community leaders through their reflections on the Town.
Submissions of 150 words from music professionals and 100 words from Palm Beach County residents, amateurs, and music lovers will be accepted through Friday, November 15, 2019, by emailing content, along with name, profession, and contact information to brenda@stargroupinternational.com.
