We are a 501c3 non profit founded  in 2016 to provide childcare to medically complex and special needs children from birth to age 21. Our mission is to ensure that children with medical conditions are provided with quality childcare and resources to meet their highest potential.

Location: Flexible (Remote)

Responsibilities:

  •         Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement strategic plans to further the mission and goals of the organization.
  •         Governance: Provide oversight and guidance on organizational policies, financial management, and compliance with legal regulations.
  •         Fundraising: Actively participate in fundraising efforts by leveraging personal networks, identifying funding opportunities, and assisting with grant applications.
  •         Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and well-being of children through public awareness campaigns, lobbying efforts, and community outreach initiatives.
  •         Networking: Serve as an ambassador for the organization by building relationships with stakeholders, partners, and potential donors.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the mission and values of The Extraordinary Kids Foundation.
  • Previous experience serving on a nonprofit board or similar leadership role preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to dedicate approximately 2-4 hours per month to board-related activities.
  • Access to reliable internet and computer skills for remote communication and collaboration.
