Location: Flexible (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement strategic plans to further the mission and goals of the organization.
- Governance: Provide oversight and guidance on organizational policies, financial management, and compliance with legal regulations.
- Fundraising: Actively participate in fundraising efforts by leveraging personal networks, identifying funding opportunities, and assisting with grant applications.
- Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and well-being of children through public awareness campaigns, lobbying efforts, and community outreach initiatives.
- Networking: Serve as an ambassador for the organization by building relationships with stakeholders, partners, and potential donors.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Extraordinary Kids Foundation.
- Previous experience serving on a nonprofit board or similar leadership role preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to dedicate approximately 2-4 hours per month to board-related activities.
- Access to reliable internet and computer skills for remote communication and collaboration.
