John C. Randolph Receives Proclamation from the Mayor of the Town of Palm Beach

Jones Foster is proud to announce that Land Use and Governmental Shareholder, John “Skip” Randolph, has received a Proclamation of the Mayor of the Town of Palm Beach, Gail Coniglio, in appreciation of his 40 years of service to the Town of Palm Beach.

Mayor Coniglio proclaimed the date of December 11, 2019, a day of gratitude for his outstanding commitment to the community. Mr. Randolph began his service to the Town of Palm Beach on September 19, 1979, and during his tenure as Town Attorney, he collaborated with a total of 40 elected officials, six town managers, and six mayors.

“I was taken by complete surprise by the Mayor’s presentation of this Proclamation,” said Mr. Randolph, who accepted the honor with his wife, Leslie, and his children and grandchildren in attendance.  “Needless to say, I am honored and humbled by this recognition of service to the Town of Palm Beach.  It has been an interesting forty years, far from dull, with the many and varied issues with which I have been involved.  I thank all the town managers, elected officials, mayors, and staff with whom I have worked throughout the years.”

As Co-Chair of the Firm’s Land Use & Governmental practice group, Mr. Randolph focuses his practice in matters relating to municipal and administrative law, land use, and zoning. He represents several municipalities and works with individual clients in municipal and governmental law matters, including code enforcement, land use, and zoning. Throughout his career, Mr. Randolph has been the recipient of numerous legal awards, including The Florida Bar City, County and Local Government Section’s Ralph A. Marsicano Award, one of the most widely respected industry awards presented to the lawyer who has made “significant and outstanding contributions to the development of Local Government in Florida.” He has also received the Paul S. Buchman Award for Municipal Attorney of the Year, and been named to The Best Lawyers in America list for Municipal Law and Municipal Litigation.

Mr. Randolph’s community involvement includes his leadership role as Chairman and a founder of the Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians and Jews, an organization dedicated to promoting fellowship, understanding, and respect among all religions and cultures.  An award was established in his name to honor persons or organizations in the community who exemplify the mission of the Fellowship.
