Jones Foster Appoints Shareholder Roberto M. Vargas to Vice Chair, Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group

Jones Foster is pleased to announce that Litigation Shareholder Roberto M. Vargas has been named Vice Chair of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
 
Rob will work closely with Litigation Practice Group Leader, Robert W. Wilkins, providing leadership to the expanding litigation team as well as establishing priorities, strategy, and fostering further growth. “Our litigation department offers a wide array of services and specialties and we believe that the decades of experience and proven leadership that Rob brings to this role will enhance the practice group’s capabilities,” said Chairman Larry B. Alexander.
 
Rob Vargas practices statewide in the areas of complex commercial litigation, business torts, real property litigation, and eminent domain, representing clients before Florida State and Federal Courts at the trial and appellate levels. Rob advises local and national clients on a variety of business disputes, including trade secrets, confidentiality agreements, non-compete agreements, business contracts, tortious interference, and breaches of fiduciary duties. ?He also advises property owners throughout Florida in all eminent domain-related proceedings. ?
 
Rob is actively involved in various industry and community organizations, serving as a Member at Large and former President of Home Safe, Inc., a local non-profit organization providing comprehensive programs to assist victims of child abuse and domestic violence.  Rob is a member of the Association of Eminent Domain Professionals and currently serves on the Florida Bar’s Eminent Domain Committee. He is a Fellow of the Florida Bar Foundation and an emeritus member of the Craig S. Barnard American Inns of Court.
