Oxbridge Academy Welcomes Susan Mackenzie to Its Board of Trustees
The school continues to expand its leadership team, welcoming several distinguished professionals to its Board of Trustees over the past weeks
 
West Palm Beach, FL (March 3, 2025) Oxbridge Academy is pleased to announce Susan Mackenzie's appointment to its Board of Trustees. A dedicated leader in business, philanthropy, and environmental advocacy, Mackenzie brings a wealth of experience that will contribute to the school's continued success and strategic vision.
 
As the owner and manager of Turnham Green Farms and Free Rein LLC, Mackenzie has extensive business management and community engagement expertise. Her background includes leadership roles in nonprofit philanthropy, corporate development, and environmental policy. She previously served for six years on the Environmental Protection Commission in Darien, Connecticut. She also holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MS in Environmental Sciences & Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Mackenzie currently serves as Treasurer and a board member of the Washington International Horse Show.

Her appointment comes as Oxbridge Academy continues to expand its leadership team, welcoming several distinguished professionals recently to the Board of Trustees.
  • Alison Gomez de la Vega, an Oxbridge Academy alumna, is a client-focused attorney specializing in commercial litigation, construction litigation, and the defense of personal injury and wrongful death cases. With experience representing both businesses and individuals, she brings a strategic and well-rounded approach to corporate and commercial litigation. Beyond her legal career, Gomez de la Vega is actively involved in community and professional organizations. She serves as a Provisional Member Mentor for the Junior League of Tampa and Co-Chair of the Member Services Committee for the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division. She earned her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of Florida.
     
  • Gregory S. Belton is Executive Chairman of HUB International Ontario (Canada), a regional division of one of the world's top five global insurance brokerages. He is best known for his role as Chairman of the London-based Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, a nonprofit he has supported since 1992 that has raised millions to assist at-risk youth. He also serves on the Board of Directors for St. Michael's Hospital Foundation, is Chairman of the Donner Canadian Foundation, and is a Director at the Palm Beach Civic Association.
     
  • Taylor Gerhardt is the President and Managing Principal of FrostPoint Capital, a commercial real estate investment and management firm he founded in 2020. With expertise in investment strategy, acquisitions, asset management, and development projects, Gerhardt brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds an active State of Florida Real Estate License. Gerhardt graduated from St. Lawrence University with a degree in History and Economics.
